I am heading up in the morning pretty early tomorrow. As you all know I drive a truck so plenty of room if people would like to hop a ride you're more than welcome to. I will be staying until about 1 is all or so I don't really have a schedule that needs to be kept other than I would like to be home by about 4 or 5 the latest. I don't have a pontoon trailer but wouldn't care about pulling one either. Let me know.

Since I hit the berry last Wed and Sat, I've used up my hall passes for this week. For how good the fishing was those days, I sure wish I could attend this..

Think she had to much fun plus the heat. They only went on the Rollercoaster about 9 times from what she told me plus all of the other rides. As I type this she is still out.

Were you folks fishing SC or BF? Unless you've got a type XIII line and can get down 50'-60', sounds like a tactial error to me.
What keeps fish off the bite this time of year? High water temps. Think about where cold water might enter the lake? Humm, where would that be? That might have been a better spot (And before you HS'ers get on me, let me say, I've got nothing to base this on other than just thinking outloud...)

There's underwater springs on the Northeast corner of Renegade but its a long ride in a toon. Infact there are several springs around the reservoir, you just have to have a under water map that shows them. Fish are conserving energy when its warmer than usual.

Only my second time up there so I don't really know the lake that well. Although those are all good suggestions. Those are practically common sense if you think about it.

hmmm thats funny because I had the complete opposite happen to me. You can read about it with photos at that other site. I was at BF.
The water was very clear.
On a side note, it was fun to hang with you and wife over the weekend. However I am not sorry about Harvick! :P

Jay, Good story. I think there are a few springs at BF too. I don't have the map that shows them, but they are dotted all along the W side of the lake. There is also the entrance to the tunnel there and it gets REALLY deep there....

Lonnie, there is a good size (Bryants Fork Bay) spring near Chaplain Pt. along the westside going south is 2 more than once you round Haws Points there is 3 good size ones there too. On the westside where the former dike used to be.

Cool, then you should be on the bottom near Doug's Tunnel in about 4 seconds.
