Lamson Litespeed

Need some advice. Looking to pick up a Lamson Litespeed for a 5 weight GLX. Plan to fish mainly a Rio Grand line. Should I go with a Litespeed 1.5 or 2? The tech sheets say either way, just wondering opinions, I know a lot of you fish Lamson.

Had an amazing spring, the best yet. Had numerous big fish days, and finally landed the elusive double digit fish. It looks like this may have been the last hoorah though.

2.0 is 1/4" larger in diameter and 1/4 oz. "heavier", same backing capacity....
Humm....I'd take my rod in a shop and check each one out on the rod.
I put a 1.5 on my 3 wt.

go with the 2.0 for a 5 wt.

I own both the 2.0 and the 1.5 (one's on a 5wt one on a 4wt) both with the Rio Grand line on them.

With the 1.5 you would have to reduce / eliminate your backing with that line. It's tight on the 1.5 with the 4wt line.

I have the 1.5 on my 5w too and it's perfect.
