Looking to head up to Jordanelle in the near future. Any tips on best areas and good flies to use would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Trevor

Crayfish, clousers, and deceivers. These are some of the best for smallmouths. Also, don't be afraid to go big, if you want some big fish.

Looks like someone caught the Doug Miller show on Saturday night. : ) That would be fun to catch a few of those smallies on the fly. I would love to try it out in my tube. Probably get in near the east state park area and enter in at inlet and work the steep shorelines. We should plan a UOTFly Jordanelle Fishing Day this summer.

I'd love to try and get some of these on a long rod. I caught two very nice ones last summer on the East side with a (GASP) worm. One went 15" and the other was 17", of course no camera at the time but I'm pretty reliable!

Yeah, I did catch Doug Miller on Saturday. My friend has caught largemouth over in the Rock Cliff area throwing spinners, but Smallmouths are supposed to be more fun. I think its great how the smallmouth in Jordanelle are being managed, it's really gotten their size up. I wish something like that could happen at Strawberry.
