This is an absolute travesty!!!! This is price fixing at its worst!!! I've been charging $100 to $150 an hour for years & now these young bucks come in & try to steal my business at $25 an hour???? There has to be a law against this kind of blatant disregard for quality & dangerous fly-fishing instruction.

shame - shame

Camo Guy Junior.

Now, that is FUNNY!!! But, I think with the skills that Camo-Guy harnesses, he'd charge far more than $25hr............

discussion with Camo-Guy one afternoon at Little Hole:

Me: How was the fishing?
Camo-Guy: Kinda of slow today, only 76 fish
Me: Kinda slow?????? I did far worse.....
Camo-Guy: Ya, kinda slow, I usually catch around 120-130
Me: Well, maybe next time......

I don’t have a problem with anyone tying to make a little cash in the fly fishing industry. I do have a problem with someone trying to back door the process with out a business license and insurance. If that person had run the ad in Park City he would be checked for a license and if he did not have one he would be cited. It’s all too easy in this state to say “I are a guide”. I have no idea who this guy is but he obviously has tried to get a job in some fly shop that told him to take a hike. If I was looking for instruction I would first ask for it here, then go to one of the local shops or go on line and find what I need. Not to sure I would want to pay by the hour, I am a slow learner.

PS I have lowered my rate to $20 an hour, its just so hard to compete

Hot and Ready 5 bucks!!

5 bucks an hour and I'm yours. That's about how much I make an hour tying flies anyway;)

BTW. Anybody need flies for salmon or saltwater?

Maybe the guy on the internet could immediately learn to spell entomology correctly since he is making 25.00 bucks an hour teaching it.

entomology

That's the greek spelling....

Grizz...

Your problem is that you have a job! If you had nothing to do in life but to be a little andy kim disciple, you'd be having 120 fish days too.

the question is what did Andy kim say to this guy. "Come follow me I will make you fishers of men...errr...Fish."

Let me guess, the AK-47 can't shoot and is a walking turnover. It can also lead to lots and lots of tears.

Hey cheech so when they pay 5 bucks an hour do you not tell the duck hunters with the loaded shot guns that the guy you are fishing with is a duck:)

For 15 dollars I guarantee that you will catch something. I will teach you how to loose flies in trees, snag up on the smallest branch in the river, break off on logs, and catch a couple bushes. I guarantee you will be pissed by the end of the lesson. 100% non satisfaction guarantee. What do you have to loose if you are guaranteed a shiny leaf that looks like a baby fish.

And while you are at it show them how to lose a box or two.
