I had the opportunity to wet a line last weekend, while working 6 days a week 12 hours per day, and found some pretty cool places to Fish in the Black Hills.

There is a small creek running behind my Hotel in Deadwood that has some really hungry Rainbows living in it, and surprisingly, I have yet to see another person Fishing it.

I Fished a Section of Spearfish Canyon, and it was full of hungry little Bows also.

I'm looking forward to a little Exploration of that area, seeing if I can find some of the "Big" Fish I heard rumored to live in the Black Hills.

One of fly fishing mags, I don't remember will have to go through my back issues, had a long article on the fly fishing in the Black Hills, and how there are not a lot of fishermen who fish it.

Streams full of BIG fish.

Glad to hear someone went there and proved the article. Let me know if you find any of the BIG fish.

You may be referring to the February 1999 issue of Fly Fisherman titled "In the Shadow of Presidents". Good article with some good pictures.

Mr. T

Good to hear from you... Hope you catch lots of Dakota trout and keep us posted!

When you get back in the fall, we'll hook up and hit the stillwater.

Are you going to be doing any pheasant hunting while you are out there so you can get a bunch of pheasant tails? I go out to SD almost every year in pursuit of those wild ringnecks.
