First, let me say once again, nice job on the new format. I kinda felt violated with the recent void of my persona, but I'll live through it.

A couple of the threads above refer to books that either were seminal in someone's thinking, or provided specific info about a fly, water, etc. I think a separate thread on flyfishing literature would be pretty cool, especially this time of year when a lot of us are tying more than fishing, and reading about the fishing we want to do next season. If you would like I'd be happy to take a first crack at it and write up a review of the caddis bible by LaFontaine.

For mag articles, it could be focussed on local waters. Fo example, Larry Tullis had a recent article on Strawberry in Southwestern Fishing. People who see such an article could at least cite it here and others coulld go to the local newstand and pick up a copy.

What do you think??

I think that would be a great idea. Fly fishing has a tradition of good quality writing. If I'm not fly fishing or tying, I'm usually perusing the literature.

I agree, My Library seems to be expanding at an exponential rate, mostly for the good but some bad. It would be nice to get others opinions on what is good, bad, and must have.

Hey Mike, Jason: what do you think? A new heading?

Jason, you can tell us what you think of "midge magic" .

By all means, please add your book reviews to the new "Repository of Knowledge" forum. In the case of books, please just start a new thread with the title of the book. If you're up for reviewing a particular magazine, please let me know and I'll add it to the list of magazines. If you're just reviewing a particular article, you'll see where to put that as well.
