This Saturday is looking like a good day to chase Tiger Musky on Pineview. So far it looks like Redfly and myself are planning on going and putting our musky swap flies to the test. Anyone else? Clear and 80 degrees should get the tigers moving as well as the smallies.

That's an affirmative. I've got two 9wts put together, the toon is down from the rafters and I'm mounting the finder this week. All systems are go.

It's my understanding that the DWR will not be restocking musky in Pineview in the future. Has something to do with diease in the stock where DWR has obtained them in the past.

If this is the case, It is most important that they be handled with kid gloves if we want that fishery to remain good in the future.

This information came to me second hand. If someone has better information, I would be interested in hearing it.

I'm hoping for some help with that. I've never fished pineview before so I don't really know what area to try. I know some of you guys have done this before so I am open to your suggestions. PM or email me at sparker@slco.org with any ideas.

Sorry ezle. I was going to email you, but couldn't get back into the site last night for some reason or other.

Was it just me or was the site down yesterday evening.....?

For those who didn't come, you didn't miss much. 3 fish between 2 guys and two of those were carp. Thanks for the fly that caught the carp nativecutt. ;)

Tiger.......~41". S&P wasn't close enough to see the fish (no witnesses). I didn't have a camera and it wouldn't of matter if I had. Too mush fish to be multitasking.

Good to meet you redfly. With how fast the water was warming up in the shallows it will only get better for the tigers. I'll have to get up there again in a couple weeks. I did manage a couple of that other kind of fish I wanted to catch at that other place. They definitely live up to all the hype and put a good bend in the 8 wt.

Did you catch it on a pattern from the swap? Also what techniques, lines, fast or slow strips, did you see it take the fly or was it deeper? Any info. to keep those of us who haven't been able to chase the tigers yet going.

I thought it was a carp swap and here you guys are trying to hook muskies with carp flies? ;)

To those who want to know more, I'll be glad to answer emails. The fly was one of yours JC. The epoxy head pattern. I found another pattern of my own styling that worked on Sunday as well.
