As it's the start of yet another year, now seems like as good a time as any to rehash the site policies. If you're new here or have forgotten the wonderful UtahOTF site policies, here they are:

(*) DO NOT insult anyone else on the board or attack their character. You are totally free to disagree with the opinions of anyone here as long as you keep your comments civil and factual.

(*) DO NOT use curse words or talk about subjects that would be inappropriate for any of our younger forum members. I realize that there will be some disagreement amongst you about what counts as a "curse" word or an "inappropriate subject." I am pretty liberal, but there are an obvious handful of words and subjects that don't belong here.

(*) DO NOT post anything degrading as it pertains to religion, race, sexual orientation or political affiliation. All of the above have no relation to fly fishing.

(*) DO NOT use this forum as a staging ground for personal grudges against other members. It's totally unacceptable whether that happens to be via email, in person, over the phone, by fax or bloody teletype.

(*) PLEASE DO make informative posts, enjoy and catch lots of fish.

(*) Any thread topics about Global Warming are forbidden (nothing good ever comes from them)

Some tips for the forums:

(*) If you think your post is going to get you into trouble, it probably will.

(*) If an Administrator or Moderator asks you not to do something, don't do it.

(*) Clicking the "User CP" button at the top of the forums will take you to a screen where you can do things like:

--> change your password or user profile

--> ignore posts from people

--> hide your email address from other users

(*) Please think about the things that you post here because under no circumstances will we delete all of your posts should you wake up one day and decide you no longer like them.

This is a great site with some great people and great information. Let's keep it that way. If you enjoy the site, please treat it and the members therein with the same respect that you'd expect to receive.

If you disagree with any of the above or are not capable of following any of the rules outlined above, please let me know and I'll happily delete your member account.
