Uinta favorite Fly Swap

What do you think about a Uinta favorite Fly Swap?

It's almost time to head up to the high country and I love the fly fishing up there. I have some favorite patterns and would like to learn some more.

I was thinking 10 people, could be more or less.

Not so true to form, I have finished and mailed the flies already. How is everybody else doing? I look forward to seeing and fishing the flies this summer.

I will be sending my flies today or tomorrow. I am tying up a pattern I call "pretty witch". Basically the same thing as a witch but mine has a pretty (pink) tail. Very effective below the surface. Very old pattern to boot.

My flys are also finished.

A friend of mine was on the Mirror Lake highway Sunday and he told me the ice was comming off of Trial, Teapot and some of the other close highway lakes.

If you guys are up for it some of us should get together and and go try our flys. There are some great half a day hike lakes on the Crystal Lake trailhead near Trial lake.

I tried emailing you and can not. So I will post. I regrettably need to withdraw from the swap. I have had a few things pop up that are going to take precedence over my tying. After seing the list I would have doubled Nymphaholics flies anyhow.

I will try again next swap.

Craig's peacock humpy and bscort's prettywitch are in and all I can say is that they look great. I can't wait to use my new arsenal up in the Uintas. I know fanatics flies are also done and I will pick them up soon.

OK, Everyone's flies are in except for Baetis'. I have tried to e-mail him a few times but no response. If anyone knows him you might want to check on him and see if he is still out there.

I will mail everyone else their flies ASAP. They are great flies and I want to thank everyone for joining the swap, it was fun. I went and tried the flies at Trial lake and I caught fish on everyone's flies.

I am going to the Uinta's Thursday June 13th for a day hike and anyone is welcome to come along or meet me up there. I know of some great lakes close to Trial lake.

After I loose a couple I may start a Uinta Fly swap II, and I hope all will join.
