I have been experimenting a lot this year with different patterns and materials to substitute. I have found many patterns that are just catchers of fishermen, and others that are ugly fish catchers. Where do you draw the line when you are tying?
There is a fly called the Female Adams that I guess works when a normal adams won't work. This guy felt as if it were necessary to create a male version.

I think he took the "egg" sack off of a he-man doll to make that adams more correct anatomically.

I showed my wife that one. One night I saw that fly and showed my wife. She couldn't figure out why it was so funny. She is sooo naive!!!

All of my flies are androgynous, but this does get the cogs turning for potential Christmas presents for friends... That's too funny.
