Stonefly Activity: Oct 19th

Just a reminder, our activity this month is this Thursday the 19th. We're having Robert Williamson come and do a fly tying demo of some his special unique flies....some of them featured in his book Creative Flies: Innovative Tying Techniques. http://www.utahonthefly.com/reviews/creative/creative.htm If you're a fan of the twisted foam hopper then this is a night to come see the originator do his thing. I'm sure he'll have a few of his books on hand as well. EVERYONE is invited so come on out and have a good time. See you then.

Just to give a heads up to anyone coming. I will not have copies of the little book I published. Frank Amato has sold out the remainders of the last print run and has informed me that he will not reprint it. Your best best if you want a copy is to search some of the on-line book distributors for a copy.

Now, if you want to see how to tie a twisted foam fly, an air-filled fly, a chain-stitched mayfly, a looped foam fly and a woven-body fly or two come Thursday night and make me nervous.

Thanks Royal. I still own the copyright. Maybe in the future when I'm a better writer I can do an updated version (more flies and ideas) and either self pub it or find someone to do it.

I wondered how many would bail when they found out it was me coming. I'm bringing one guy with me because I have to have at least one in the audience to do a demo.

Thanks Robert for coming out tonight.....as always, it was a pleasure. I wish I could have stayed for the last part. It's always nice to be on the other side of a fly tying demo....kinda sparks some inspiration to get on the vice. I think everyone enjoyed it.
