I was thinkin of taking a trip to Hamm's. I love to fish it this time of year but was quite disappointed with last year's low water. Has anybody been there recently? How's it lookin?

Had a buddy go last Wed. Nada. Said he saw one sucker and couldn't even spook a fish from under the bank.

I have fished the Hamm's a lot lately...until Saturday, the water was perfect. Now, water has been released from the reservoirs and it is running high (kind of like the Provo). As for fishing goes, well...I ain't saying a thing!

Wyoming 2; are they releasing water from both resevoirs? So is the river betwee the two running high? Any idea how long it will last? Thanks for the info, I hope to make it there this week.

Yes...they are releasing water from both reservoirs. Usually the high water lasts until mid-June, but with the dry winter, who knows.

I'm heading up there tomorrow, I've heard it's still running high. Have you fished it lately Wyoming 2, or anybody else for that matter? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I fished it on the 26th and 27th. Water was high, but you could still wade across. Not much surface action. Caught fish on WD40, RS2, Mercer Micromayfly, fox caddis pupae and a fly that I learned from Ed Kent--sort of a black WD40 with a flashback, but size 16 TMC 2312 hook. Had a couple come up for my strike indicator Monday afternoon and switched to a golden stone with a trailer to no avail. Fishing was best in the morning, tough in the afternoons, and better again in the evening.

Really thick midge hatch by the Kemmerer reservoire. Floated that for a while Monday morning and didn't pick up anything.

Spotty fishing.

Email if you want more info on locations, etc.
