UOTF Strawberry day????

There was talk a while back about a UOTF Strawberry day. Whatever came of that, was there ever a day set?

I am a new member (I just joined today) but I am definately interested in a trip to Strawberry. My wife loves to flyfish too and I am sure she would be interested.

I'm torn on mem day between going to the weber or strawberry. On June 5 (wed) I'm free. the next day I'm going to attempt to teach a girl how to fly fish. She got in a car accident before we were to go the first time.

Guys, I wouldn't bother about a "UOTF Strawberry Day" until after the midge hatch which is just getting started.

Maybe in about a month the old Berry will start fishing really good??? With the poor start, things are bound to get better... who knows, maybe we'll enjoy awesome summer or fall fishing up there this year?

I've fished the Berry 6 times now this spring, and the fish caught from all six trips combined would not make for one good trip... the fishing up there is simply dismal do far.

We'll probably plan a UOTFly Strawberry Fishing day once fishing starts to get good, probably in a month or so like Jeff said. I don't think I've heard one good report yet this spring. This was the main reason why we planned a UOTFly Mantua Res. Fishing Day instead of Strawberry. Mantua has been fishing great lately. I've heard some very promising reports the last couple of weeks for rainbows and bass. We thought Mantua may be a good alternative to Strawberry since fishing has been dismal. Come meet up with us next Saturday, June 1st, and do some fishing with us. Jeff, you coming? Check out the following thread for details.
