Our next Cache Anglers meeting will be Wednesday May 17th at 7:00 p.m. at the USU Water Lab, 1600 Canyon Road in Logan. Matt McKell from the Wildlife Biology Department-Ogden will give a presentation covering the distribution of Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout in the Raft River Mountains and their drainages. He will also discuss the small population of Lahontan Cutthroat Trout in the Pilot Range. In addition we will watch a 25 minute video on native cutthroat populations and conservation. Following the presentation we will discuss our outing to the Raft Rivers, and get commitments on dates, times, etc. from the members.
We also need to get ready to support the youth activities for Free Fishing Day on June 10th. We will need help with teaching youth fly tying and casting, and helping the kids fish at the pond there. If you are willing to help or have any questions please contact me or Flyin' Brian through our profiles.
