Living in Calgary the last five years, it's amazing I never have used it. It's very popular around there. I had enough success with other similar peacock patterns like Zug Bugs and Prince nymphs that I never got around to trying it.
I did see Jeremy Davies tie them once, and I like some of his other variations on it, particularly the Damsel Weevil. Same idea but olive with a long marabou tail. He has a website with his patterns and info, but I don't think it's been updated for some time.

Yeah, his site comes across that way, but he wasn't that bad when I've met him in person.
