I brought this up a couple months back before the new format and there were a few individuals that expressed interest in taking a beginner fly tying class. I would like to get another census of how many people would be interested.
This class will be for people that have little or no experience in tying flies. It will cover all the basics to get you going.
-Tools
-Hook selection
-Basic thread control
-Materials
-Tying tails, bodies, and wingcases
-Using hackle
-Dubbing loops
-Proper proportion
Proposed flies that will be tied: Woolly Bugger, Marabou Damsel Nymph, Chamois Caddis, Leech, Scud or Sow Bug, Pheasant Tail, Prince Nymph, Soft Hackles, Gold Ribbed Hares Ear, Black Ant, Elk Hair Caddis, and Adams. (this list may change)
Note: this class will most likely be in the Salt Lake area.
