Hook :Size 16 scud hook.
Body: Pheasant tail
Tail: none
Wire: Gold
Bead: Brass 3/32 or smaller
Wing: White zelon wrapped around thread and tied in.

Easy pattern to tie and highly effective.

but I do use it a lot. My favorite is a chamois caddis. I also like a beadhead birds nest a lot and I have a bunch of other small baetis nymphs.

I use the Shop Vac and also bought my first one at Blue Ribbons. I believe that I read about on here first.

I think the fish take it for a caddis larvae. It works well on the Madison.

Instead of a gold bead, i use a copper tungsten bead and also use copper wire. Gives it more weight. Caught a few fish on the Provo with it also. As Dave said, easy fly, but effective--if you are willing to stoop to nymph fishing.
