Anyone know a supplier of wood duck skins? I'd like to find a full skin rather than a 2.00 -$5.00 package of 12.

Met an attorney in Houston one time, in the course of our conversation we talked about hunting. He told me that on occasion he would shoot a Wood Duck. I told him that I tied flies and would like to get some feathers. About six months later, I got a fed ex package at work. In it was a zip lock bag with a bloody hide of some Wood Duck feathers. Needless to say by the time I got it, it was beginning to smell a little gamey. I put it in the freezer at work to stop the decaying process. Went to get it the next day and my secretary had thown it out the night before.
I'll see if I can find the attorney's phone number for you.

Here in upstate New York there are alot of woodies. With several friends and family that hunt I've got more than I can use. I'll be in SLC Mar. 15 for four days of fishing before a week long conference. I plan on going to the Sportmans' Expo and can bring some nice flank feathers with me. Send an e-mail to me if you're interested.
