Stonefly Society Annual Banquet and Auction

We will be holding our annual banquet and auction Saturday, February the 4th at 6 PM at the Desert Star Theatre in Murray. Scott Sanchez will be our guest speaker and will discuss fly fishing in Jackson Hole and the Snake River. We will have fly fishing and camping gear for raffle and auction along with some great guided trips. We will send more details before the event. Cost will be $30 per person or $50 per couple. Dinner choices will be Salmon Filet, Raspberry Chicken, or New York Strip Steak. There will be a cash bar. Please RSVP by an email to Jason Haslam (jason@utahonthefly.com) and include number of reservations and choice of dinner entrees. We look forward to seeing you all there on the 4th.

Scott Sanchez will be our guest speaker and will give a presentation on fly fishing the Snake River and Jackson Hole area. Scott is well known for his insightful and innovative flies throughout the world. He has written many fly fishing magazine articles over the years as well authoring a few fly tying books. Scott will be a great addition to the night’s activities.

As in years past we will be having our raffle and auction for lots of great fly fishing and camping gear along with some special guided fly fishing trips. Some of the items for raffle and auction include: Bucks Bag float tube, William Joseph gear, a spey rod and reel combo, Rainy flies, shirts, hats, fly lines, weekend stay at Falcons Ledge, two bamboo fly rods, half day guided trip on Strawberry Reservoir, exclusive print art, boxes of specially hand tied flies, Camp Chef products, Dave Scadden pontoon boat, Texas saltwater trip, and other great fishing products and guided trips.

Dinner choices will be Raspberry Chicken or New York Strip Steak. There will be a cash bar. We look forward to seeing you all there on the 4th.

The dinner/banquet will be held at the Desert Star Theater in Murray which is located at: 4861 S. State Street, Murray, Utah 84107 Parking located behind the building.

All proceeds from raffle and auction items will be used to fund special conservation projects for the up coming year and beyond. We thank you in advance for your generosity and support.


* The Stonefly Society is also hosting a special Fly Tying class with Scott Sanchez on Saturday morning of the 4th. This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity to sit up close and personal with one of the worlds most innovative fly tiers. The cost will be $40 per person.
