Statement as of 3:30 PM MST on December 10, 2005


... Ice jams may cause flooding along the Henrys Fork river through
Monday...

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the
following rivers: Henrys Fork river... in the following
counties in idaho:

Fremont... Madison.

Ice jams have formed on the Henrys Fork river near St Anthony. The
river level at St Anthony has risen a foot since Friday to near 6
feet today. If the trend continues ... the stage will reach 7 feet by
noon Sunday. Flood stage is 7 feet... and flooding of low lying areas
near the river is possible.

Ice jam conditions are expected to continue through Monday.

Persons along the Henrys Fork from above St Anthony to Rexburg
should remain alert for Rising River levels... and be prepared to
take protective actions. River ice is unpredictable ... and may move
and jam at other locations with little notice.

What is happening with all the money we send to the Henry's Fork Foundation? Shouldn't they be up there melting the ice so this doesn't happen?
If we are just going to let nature take its course each year, then I'm not supporting these corny organizations anymore!
