Just to let everybody know what is going on, and why I haven't posted in awhile. My Cancer has spread to my lungs and thyroid. Had the lower right lobe of my right lung taken out and my thyroid also was removed. I am now going back thru Chemo, and it is really a bitch. Sick most of the time. This is my third time doing chemo and it will be my last, no matter what. If it doesn't arrest this shit. I am done. I will spend my remaining time on the river, as much as it will let me. I will try to get on more often, and let you guys know how things are going. I look like some cheap Sampsonite luggage with all the new zippers in my body. Scars up one side and down another. Pretty shitty to have to pay someone to cut your throat. Enough said, hope to here from some of you. Keep me in your prayers.

I wish the best for you , Steelies. We've never met, but I've always enjoyed reading what you have to say, you are definelty part of the hiite Hat crowd. I hope some day we can wet a line together.
Keep fighting the good fight as long as you can. Your in our prayers, and many of us admire your courage and what you have accomplished since your diagnosis. Many people know you, have seen you in the UCAN spots on TV, and will heed your advice. And because of your good influence and message, I am sure you will have saved lives, not many of us will be able to have that on our resume going forward. You have fought the good fight and for that I admire you very much.
Thank you for your inspiration.

Hey Reggie, you've got a lot of people pulling for you. I saw your commercial just yesterday and was wondering how you're doing.
Please keep us posted on how you're doing. We need to be able to do another fishing trip with everyone!
God Bless...

Hi Reggie,
Chris here, I am really sorry to hear about the cancer spreading. That is a bitch. Get as much fishing in as you can! My dad was dying of cancer several years ago so I moved back across the country with in 60 miles and I took him as often as we could get out and built a strong bond. Like you, he enjoyed spending as much time on the water as time would allow. Once my brothers and I took him fishing to our favorite canyon spot and he was sitting way up on the cliff above where we were fishing and I hiked up there and asked him what he was doing and he told me he just wanted to see my brother and I fishing together one last time from up there so he could remember what it was like to see us together when the doctors were doing things to him that were painful-- and he made me promise to keep making both my brothers fish together. Out of all the sports and things my dad taught us and shared with us in his life, I believe that fishing was the one that he thought held us all together the best. Reggie, I wish you the best!
Reggie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I need you to get back in the game so you can show me how to Spey cast like you said you would.
In all seriousness, as soon as your health permits, you've got a front seat in my drift boat. You might not be able to fish but nothing will heal the soul like a nice float down a canyon.
Let me know.

My sister in-law is currently going thru her theropy as well. I see first hand on how it effects her, I can only imagine how it must be. Fight this beast, we are here for you. Don't hesitate to call.

Reggie,
This is Joni (Fly Girl - Fly Goddess) As Cardiac said, we are with you all the way. I lost my Grandmother age 54 to cancer and it was terrrible. Back in those days they didn't have the Technology they do now, so as they say in the music business "Give Then What They Want" I mean the Doctors and you'll pack the house. Love and faith!

I do not know you but have known people in your circumstance and can say that I am truly sorry. This life thing is funky and sometimes just outright lame. But then there is the good that makes it all kind of make a little sense. I am thankful for the fact that there is something better to look forward to. The good Lord will hear from me concerning you. While we have never met, I know He loves you and is concerned for you.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for your Prayers. I am to weak to get out on the river right now and the Chemo I am on won't let me get out in the cold, because of the reaction to the chemo. It will shut down my throat if it gets to cold. Cold is a killer, so I have to make my outdoors run to the store and home as short as possible. 1 week of very bad days and several days of not so good with maybe 1 to 2 days of ok. Then it starts all over again. Again I thank you all.

Steelies-
As I am currently losing a very important loved one to cancer at this moment, I can only offer sincere empathy. He has demonstrated more tenacity and courage to fight for extra time than I could imagine. I am sure you are fighting this way as well. May the Lord bless you with strength...

Reggie,
Many times we get on this site and moan about stupid things. You bring it all back into perspective. You're a fighter; keep going. I would like to make some more trips fishing with you. Remember that time we stopped on the upper Weber coming out of the Uintas. That was a fun little stretch of water. I hope you get feeling better so we can hit it again.
Keeping you in thoughts and prayers. What can we do to help you?

Hey man,
I am so sorry to hear about things. I miss seeing you at the shop. We still need to go hit the Weber soon. Just let me know when and where. Know that you and your family are in my prayers.
Don't give up hope brother. You are a tough old awnry son of a bitch.
Never die!
I will be waiting to hear from you on the Weber.
<'((F.H.((~<
reg,
Thanks for all the time you have spend with me at hooks. You really have helped me with my fishing. I even got the pleasure of fishing with you on the Weber. Hope to continue seeing you at hooks when the new owners take over. As an earlier reader wrote, "keep fishing...it's good therapy".
Whatever the life after has in store for all of us, I can only hope that there's fly fishing. Prestine water, big fish, no crowds...EVERY DAY. AMEN
Eric
