Most of our business meetings and program meetings are held at the Salt Lake Fish And Game Association Meeting House. The address of the Salt Lake County Fish & Game Association Meeting House is 1177 West Bullion (5700 South). Coming on the freeway, take the 5300 South Exit and go west to 7th West. Turn south. Bullion is the third road going west. Turn right. Bullion itself turns south and and then west again before crossing the Jordan River. The Meeting House is on the southwest corner of Bullion and the Jordan River.

I'll be there. It should be very interesting. Larry has fished a lot of interesting places. He says he changes the list of 10 favorite locations occasionally as he's often going someplace new.

Is this a separate life membership? Or is it a life membership to TU?

Hey Gman, its a lifetime membership to the Stonefly Cociety, not TU. Stonefly of the Wasatch is a chapter of TU, however, maintains its own membership. Hope to meet you tonite.

Sliding scale based upon how long you live.

life is 250, annual is 20(?)

Sliding scale based upon how long you live.

Based on the belief that "time spend fishing cannot be deducted from a man's life"... i should live forever as long as i am fishing... $250 sounds like a good deal.

Well, the lifetime membership has a cap of 40 years. if you live longer than 40 years after you purchace your lifetime membership, you'll need to re-up.

If you die within 40 years, you get the last laugh, and a cool set of prints.

Larry did a great job! It was cool to see some of the places I've heard him talk about. I'm sure it's the only way I'll get to see most of them but maybe somehow, someday........

Did Tullis talk about using Daphnia flies?

UtahFlyGuy

Larry talked about them briefly. He talked about colors, and what to expect on certain times of the year.
Very informative. He said this time of year you want to use a white pattern for though.

I made it to the meeting, but didn't have a chance to meet some of you (larry went a little long on catching 45 lb sea browns with a 5 wt rod in 60 mph winds from a canoe) :-)

Any chance you can load a thumbnail of the prints that are available for life membership in the Stonefly Society?

I'll second that. I had a hard time sleeping because I kept thinking of some of the bruts he showed and how I can get up there to catch some. Some of those locations are just wishful thinking for now though.

It was good to hear him talk about the Daphnia and show some pictures of them. It was kind of hard to piece all the parts of the puzzle together by reading the articles and such that he has written. It really cleared up some stuff for me. Now I just need to get out and try it. Yet another excuse to go fishing.

I would have liked to stay afterwords and meet some of you but had to run to other commitments.

Nope, just transcribed in our minds. I'm sure some of the guys that went could post some of their notes or thoughts...like some of the previous posts. All I can say is that Sea Run Browns are on my mind..........hmmmm.

One thing for sure... there are some big freaking fish out there. I don't think that I am catching my share.
