Went up on a canyon stream today close to home. Started with an ant and had a few explosive rises. Noticed a few fish nosing the surface and realized there were some very tiny BWOs. For the next few hours, I hooked and released probably around 15 fish. I think this water is too skinny right now to throw a streamer. Anyway great time to be out!

I enjoyed the fall colors and colorful browns Tuesday. Normally, I would be playing golf in a weekly tournament at Valley View, but it was cold and wet. I was very comfortable fly fishing, though.

Here are a few pics from the day (http://www.mygolfdomain.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1255&postcount=21)

Robinsoj, I noticed you have a rig I'm looking at buying. Loomis Metolius 5#, 9' with a Ross, Evolution, I'm gonna load up some Mastery GPX 5 weight. How do you like this combo? I was also considering a Redington 5# CPS rod, any input? Thanks and keep the lines tight.

I have a G Loomis GLX Streamdance 9 foot 5 weight. It's a great rod to say the least, but it is certainly pricey.

The Ross Evolution 2 has room for improvement, but it does look cool hehe. I think the Lamson Velocity I had before the Ross was a better reel.

I'm very happy with the line. I think it's the Mastery GPX, but I'm not sure. This is the first line to not bother me too much with line twisting. Of course, it's the only line I have tried with the GLX, though.

I had a 4 weight GL3 before. I'm glad I switched to the GLX Streamdance 5 weight. I don't think I lost any dy fly presentation ability and no doubt have more power.
