I found a new river this last weekend. I was down in Panguitch visiting my inlaws, ans so after enough hanging out with the family, I had to went the line. I headed out to fish the sevier river south of Hatch. Jerry at the local fly shop told me it would not be any good there. The river is still high and muddy, so He mentioned a couple of spots that are doing well right now. One was the creek above Tropic Res. and below the res. So I went below. I fished for about two hours before I got to soaked because of the rain. I landed 19 fish, the biggest being 14 inches and the smallest being about 3 inches. But I missed just as many, probably to small for the hook. They were taking anything I threw at them, it was the best fishing action I have been able to have all summer.
