Big Brown!

A couple weekends ago when it was free fishing in Idaho, I took my father-in-law up to Black Canyon. We were the first on the river and the weather was beautiful. A couple hours into our great fish outing, my Father-in-law came and found me down river saying that he needed my help because he lost his rod in the river. Since I had waders on, I would be able to go and retrieve it. Come to find out, his rod wasn't lost, but he had a great big brown on the line. This brown was at least 5lbs. and 22 inches long. It was huge! (We did get pictures for proof but they are still in the camera). I have always loved Black Canyon but never thought you could find fish that big there. We had a great trip.!

Did he drop his rod fighting the fish or did the fish hook itself?

Sorry I haven't developed the picture yet. It has been a very busy month and I want to finish the roll.
He really didn't drop the rod. He just told me that to get me to help him, then when I got to where he was fishing, He showed me the fish.
I will try to get the pictures back soon.
