Anybody ever try to fish a small meadow stream with a 3 year old that wants to tag along? I love to fish these small streams where you have to hide behind rocks and crawl on the bank so that everybody up on the road driving by looks down and says "what the hell is that guy doing?" However, trying to fish it in a good stiff breeze with a 3wt was hard enough but my little girl insisted that she comes along. After I realized that I finally found somebody that would trip through the sage and birch and miscellaneous nature hazards to watch me catch a fish I quit grumbling and started to enjoy hooking some small fish so she could see the "little fishies!" Sometimes it takes a 3yr old to make a point to us dumb adults.
By the way the Animas is high and muddy and the creeks are raging pretty good around Durango, need to do a little searching around to find some good water right now.
