All this talk about lunar cycles, barometric pressure, storm fronts, gaseous emissions and the like has gotten me thinking about a way to do a little study.

So I built a little fishing log on my website a while back and I've now converted it over to a data collection tool for us to track some of the above-mentioned variables.

It's a very simple process. You sign in to the website and fill in the blanks about how you did fishing, weather, fish species etc. I'm hoping we can get some accuracy about the weather conditions where you fished. So for those of you that can, get a b-pressure gauge or something. If not, just look on weather.com for that day.

In the end, you can also use this as a simple fishing log you can look back on and see how you did fishing on previous trips.

Does this sound like something you'd like to do?

If you would like to participate, please e-mail me or respond to this post with your e-mail addy and I will send you the URL with a username and password.

So who will have access to all of this information once it is entered. If many people choose to participate over a period of time wouldn't this over time be the best source of information on the lesser known rivers (non Green, Provo, Webber) in the state.

MWS why are you paraniod? You could go to the Lower Provo and fish alone. All the people would smell the stench and clear out for you.

If, down the road, we have enough interest I would publish "reports" basically summarizing the data collected. In fairness this would only be available to people who are participating. Otherwise, no soup for you!
