Brag about my 40 fish in 4 hours....... which is really impresive until you learn that 32 of them were white fish. The South Fork is best when there is some surface action going on and the trout are hitting dries, otherwise you are dredging the deep pools w/ nymphs. Pools which have lots of whitefish mixed with the trout. Some days I harldy find any whitefish..... yesterday I hardly found any trout.

We floated from Husky down to Connant on Saturday and had a similar trout to whitefish ratio. We even threw streamers for a good portion of the day hoping to increase our odds. We had a great time anyway and only had to share that stretch with a half-dozen anglers, a few herons and a thousand golden-eyes.
