Well, so far so good. My better half is really enjoying her time here in Utah. We fished the Provo today. The Lower Provo was pretty much elbow to elbow! Waaaay to many people! We headed up to the middle Provo and walked right into a nice little hatch. And little being the key word! I think I used the smallest flies I've ever tied on. Anything dark in size 20-22 or smaller was working. I'm not used to using anything that small in PA. I missed or lost the first few on over excitement and a quick trigger finger. Eventually I was doing everything right though. Nothing huge, but I'll take 10-12 inchers all day everyday! Thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions, we're using all of them! The weather looks like its going in the toilet tonight though. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Take care.

Nyfly,

Don't count out the weather. Usually, "bad weather" is "good weather" for beatis aka Blue wing olives. The seem to come of stronger in overcast/rainy/snowy conditions. I've caught fish on top on the middle in a driving snow storm. It kinda sucks to fish in, but it makes for great story telling over a beer....

If it's really crappy give the lower another shot, it will clear out some of the locals. The fish tend to be a little bigger down there.
