will be up in the brigham city area the last week of may, does anyone think fishing daniels wil be worth the trip. did they get alot of snow and rain this winter? what best areas to start out. talked to a few guys fishing mantua a while back and they said it is a must to have a tube or kickboat and fish close to the boat ramp. no problem i have both. they told me they destroy fish midgeing. can you please give me some ideas, type of midges where or what part of the res. to start. also does anyone know of an address or zip code for up there so i can use mapquest to get directions. thanks again for all of your help. maybe i will see you guys up there or if someone wants to fish together let me know. will be up there between 5/23 and leaving 5/31.

Just got back from Idaho. Most of the lakes still have ice on them. A few yards of open water on the edges but not enough to get excited about. Give it a few more weeks.

Exit 13
Left into town
You will pass Chevron on your right and the Kwik Stop (you can buy your license here if you need one)
Drive straight you will come to a stop but because you are turning right you can roll on through yielding only. You are now on Bannock Street you will stay on this road through town you will come to a 4-way stop and you will be driving straight leading you NW out of Malad the right will make several turns both right and left turns for the next 15 miles at one point you will think that I am leading you on a wild goose chase.
To help you feel confident you are still traveling in the right direction look for a few of these landmarks on the way.
As you are driving out of town you will pass the hospital on your right hand side of the road very important to know where this is, the road will have a slight curve to your right no other option just follow it at this curve a couple hundred yards you will have a sharp left curve make sure you go left a couple hundred yards you will be able to increase your speed to a comfortable 55 MPH for a short time until you drop back to 45 MPH.
The following turns will take place, Right, Left, Right, Left (you should see your first sign to Daniels 15 miles stay left and on your right you should have a trash dumpster storage area as your turn straightens out a couple hundred yards the first house on your left is my fathers house make sure you honk and wave (good to know if you ever run out of gas or need help). A couple hundred yards on the right is where a cop lives make sure you are being good as you drive by. Back to the turns, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, by this time you should be passing a couple canyon roads in the next mile or so one will be Elkhorn another will be West Elkhorn, the road is more of a main road at this time with bends in the road instead of curves where you could go down another road if you didn’t stay right or left.
At this point you will be thinking to yourself where is the reservoir I must have taken a wrong turn, do not turn around you are driving in the right direction if you have seen the 2 canyons I have listed you will come to a very old dam that is used for storage for the farmers equipment at this point you need to stay to the left you will pass a sign that says Daniels no mileage on the sign you are getting close continue down the road making a few more turns and then Daniels reservoir will appear on the left hand side as you come to the top of the hill, you will need to start slowing down or you will miss the turn as you enter the gate and cross the cattle guard I would suggest taking the sharp right and follow this road around until you hit the first old rundown out house and park in this area and start fishing.
Have fun and I hope this helps and that I did not lead you astray.

Hey T4X, I might be heading to Idaho in June for a few days and would like to give Daniels a whirl. If you're free, when that time comes, I'll give you a shout.

It depends, but I'm thinking around the 24th or 25th.
