Is it kosher on this site to ask to network with each other? If not that's totally cool. By no means do I want to take advantage of a fly fishing site and a fly fishing site only.
The reason I ask is that some of us don't have Brothers, Cousins or Aunts in the mortgage business that watch out for each other. Hence we have to rely on a network of “friends” to do the watching out. Not that I'm particularly looking for mortgage help at this time, but I use it as an example because I probably will again one day. The same goes with attorneys and accountants. I know you’re out there.
I’ve noticed on the member’s list of the site, that our profiles are facetious (some are legit). I like the code names. What if we all updated our legitimate profiles (i.e. personal information--occupations)?
Here is how I see it…
Rule #1 instead of posting a general message “I’m looking for a graphic artist and layout designer” (which I really am), I would personally search the many profiles and contact them directly. Thus, I wouldn’t bother the majority of other members of the site that don’t fit the criteria.
Rule #2 any new member is required to list a ligit profile.
Friendships are created and flourish because of common interests. I think we all eat, drink and sleep--fly-fishing. What a great foundation.
I welcome your thoughts?
