With the Mothers Day Caddis hatch quickly aproaching, and since I had a good time doing the Mayfly Lifecylce swap, I figure why not a caddis swap??

Since most of us are starting to do a little more fishing with the warmer weather, and with the other swaps in progress, we'll keep this a little smaller. I'm thinking 5 other people besides myself, tying their favorite three caddis patterns. That means a total of 15 flies(5 of each of your favorite 3 patterns).

Between cased caddis, free living caddis, caddis pupa, emergers, normal adults, spent caddis and diving caddis, there are pleanty of choices for patterns representing the different lifecyle stages. The only condition for the swap is at least one of those patterns has to be a dry fly, other than that it's up to you.

As soon as we have all the people who want to participate I'll set the dates to have the flies done by, but tenativly I hope that we could all get these done by the end of April or begining of May.

This should be fun, so don't be shy!

The caddis hatches on the provo are one of my favorite times to be on water. Fishing well into night till you cant see your fly and you set the hook by sound.
Count me in...

Man ... sorry I missed out on getting in on this one. Sure you don't want to squeeze in one more?

I recieved my flies from the mayfly life cycle swap today. They all look great!

Since I liked your flies so much from the the Mayfly swap, I think it's ok. I wouldn't mind tying up one more of each pattern for you.----- But it's going to cost you, there will be a late entery fee of a couple extra flies due and payable to the swapmaster :)

So here's the final list:

That means a total of 18 flies, 6 of each of your favorite 3 patterns, with one being a dry fly.

Let the madness begin.

Well How are the patterns coming along?? I just finished the last of my patterns last night. I am excited to see how everyone else is coming along.

When you get a minute send me an email so I can forward my address to you, or if you live locally let me know and I would gladly meet up to go fishing and swap some flies.

Thanks,
Don

I want to get all the patterns back to you, so we can use some for the mothers day caddis hatch!! So hurry up!

Don, Sorry for the delay. I had to go back to Missouri for a death in the family. Just returned today. I have most of my flies tied ... just a few things to tidy up. I will ship them to you in the next day or so.
Again, sorry about this. It was unexpeceted and tragic.
Makes me realize how much all my fishing buddys mean to me too!
Cheers,
JM

Can you send an email to me with your address? mailto:johnm@climbing.com

PS. My local fishing partners tell me the caddis hatch is in full gear here in the valley. Clouds of them are coming up the Colorado in Glenwood Springs, and are as far up valley as Carbondale already. Pretty early this year!

I emailed Don Wothington about not receiving my Caddis Flies and did not received a reply.
The end of April was about five (5) weeks ago. I'm glad I had other Caddis imitations to fish the hatches.
I have not seen his name in the obits, so there goes that excuse.

Your flies went out Friday. I kept waiting around for two people who never sent in their flies. Finnaly, firday I just sent what I had out. Since Bill Snow and Dryfly were the last two to get your flies, I split the extra flies that were ment for the two people who didn't contribute.

Sorry it has taken son long and thanks for your patience. Hopefully you will be happy with the paterns you received. You might even get them in the mail today.
