Man buying hooks is killing me. I need three different sizes for a couple patterns I want to tie and I throw down $15...that's not any materials either! Anyone know a cheap source for hooks, preferably mustad but I will consider others? Or am I just hosed with the rest of the tiers?
thanks,

Dennis from www.flydesk.com (did i get that right) has some nice hooks that are just as good for a lot less. ABI hooks, chemically sharpened and made in japan. I like em so far. Although I wish they made a copy of a teimco 2488

I also would suggest getting your hooks from Dennis. Most of the hooks I now own are ABI hooks. Sharp, strong, and less expensive than the others.

Nice site...I think I will try those out. On a side note, have you tried their CDC? Only 1.79 per package so I'm wondering how much is in a package and how the quality is.

Everything that I have bought from Dennis has been great quality/value. He is very informative about the things he carries and how they compare to the famos name brands. I like the Kamasan (sp?) hooks, heavy duty & sharp.
