After spending a bit of time over the past few weeks in my garage steam-bending wood into circles to make snowshoes, I've gotten all excited about making my own landing net. I just wanted some opinions on what shapes and sizes you guys seem to like the best? I hate those tiny ones that will barely hold an 11 inch cutt. But at the same time it can't be too big and bulky. And how about those funky new William Joseph nets that are all curvy. Do those just look cool, or is that shape actually advantageous when landing trout? If you could design your own net to look and work any way possible, what would it look like?

P.S. if you wan to take a peek at what you can do to Ash under steam, here are some pics.

if i designed my own it would look alot like that snowshoe...
really wide at the bottom and long enough to hold a bigger trout.
(nice work on those)
