While looking for a BWO pattern for the BBS, I found this site. They've got a pretty good fly gallery. I've never heard of these guys before. The photos could be better, but they have a wide array of patterns. Anyway, the first photo is worth the look...

Pretty funny.

I was looking through some of their hopper patterns and came across one that looked very familiar. The first pic is the Frankenhopper posted at: http://www.idylwilde.com/index.html

The second pic is Rainy's Grand Hopper and if you could see the underside of Rainy's hopper, you could see the black dots. Isn't their an unwritten law that once a fly is named, it isn't changed even if by a tiny modifications?

Oh no more flies I need to tie. Does anyone ever feel overwhelmed? I have a hard time replenishing last years stock of flies I lost. Then when I've tied those. It is hard to pick what fly to tie next. Then when a hatch starts, it is even harder to use those new patterns you've tied. I always go back to the old standby's, but some of the new patterns become standby's. I guess I just need to tie more, and fish more. Does anyone else get overwhelmed? and what do you do.

Great sight Lonnie.
