I really like Daiichi hooks for my fly tying. My regular source has evaporated and my supply is running low. Any suggestions on the best place (internet, mail order, phone order, etc) to obtain Daiichi hooks at a good price. I prefer to purchase hooks at 100/box. For the more useful styles/sizes (i.e. 1100, 1130, & 1710) I prefer 1000/box. Any reliable recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.
Where were you buying them before and why are they not selling them anymore? Just wondering so we do not duplicate sources.

Try www.larvalace.com. I know they sell them but not sure what sizes and styles they have in stock. If you don't see what you want, call them and ask for Brad A. He would most likely work with you for the bulk items you seek.

Dennis Brakke also sells Daiichi hooks. I buy quite a few from him, they're my hook of choice. I also get some Gamakatsu from him on occasion. Very good prices.

I would probably call him rather than order from his site. He could order in exactly what you want if you are not in a huge hurry.

Raw:
A couple of years ago I had a neighbor that worked in the sporting goods industry and could get me fly tying materials (i.e. hooks, feathers, etc) in bulk and at nearly wholesale prices. He has moved to another state and no longer works in the same industry. I had such a great supply of hooks, that I didn't start to run short until now. Hoping to find another source besides the local fly shops in the greater Phoenix area. Nothing against them, however, always looking for the best deal.
