Experience on the river

Well, I was on the river recently. I caught a pretty nice Brown. He was about 16 inches. After I pulled the fly out of his mouth, I was lowering him back in the water, when he suddenly turned his head around, looked at me, and said, "You look like a plate of spaghetti."

I said back to him, "You look like a pepperoni pizza." Then he swam away.

Anybody else ever have a similar experience?

No but I had one turn around and say, "You really think you're that special? I mean come on guy, I don't have any hands or legs and my brain is the size of a pea. You really think you're that special? Here I am trying to get a decent meal and you have to pull me out of the river by my lip! You're really not as special as you think!"

Not exactly, I always have the feeling I'm the host of some strange Trout Game Show, where the trout has to make choices. Real food or a feathery hook, real food or bait and the oven. After I release them I yell, "Thank you for playing, come again soon".

I was on the Logan the other day and while trying to retrieve a fly out of an overhanging limb a fish surfaced and said your gonna have to get up alot earlier than this if your gonna catch a real fish.. I realized it was like 4 in the afternoon, and I said Hey fish, what do you know about time? Its like 4 pm. He swam away and I held my head high the rest of the afternoon, though I strangely didnt catch any fish.
