Fished the Ogden at the parkway last friday. Netted a nice 15 inch brown (real skinny) and two holdover planters. I caught them all on a size 18 BH PT. I only fished for 1 hour, during the fishing I got a call for an interview and while I was interviewing for the job I caught the two planters. That was by far the best interview I ever had. I moved up to the irrigation diversion but had no luck, lots of moss though.

On new years I went to the weber at Taggart and caught a 12" twinke brown a 20" 3 pound white and a 16 inch white. I would like some advice on the Weber. Specifically the two sections from Echo to devil's slide, and the slide down to the mouth of the canyon. Any help is appreicated.

The section of the Weber you reference has its treasures fer sure, but if you fish between Echo & Rockport, your catch rate will most likely improve. The area in question holds some true monsters, but they are few & far between unless you discover honey. I've always done well this time of year with streamers in that area. White is a go to color for me & usually rewards me with a thick WeBeer river Brown or two. Also try larger nymphs trailed by small BH midge patterns, you could probably also pick up some nice fish with bleached white glo-bugs. I've taken nice fish well into Feb on white eggs (big white eggs). Sows, Scuds (hot Orange, Pink & Tan), Princes, Haresears, Golden Stones & Midges in Red & flash will produce. I'd imagine a Yong special would work as would the Zebra Midge, but midges were made to sprinkle on cup cakes at girl scout parties. Fish are hungry man, ya gotta feed 'em the MEAT! I've seen the whities rise like mad at the Taggart stretch, if'n you happen on this a #22 Poor's midge or Griffith's will turn fish & it's good practice with the occasional trout biting for good measure.

Nice to hear there's still fish in the Ogden, my home water.

Heeeellllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuu down there, do you have any honey?
