I was just curious if there are other rivers and streams around utah that have good midge hatches other than the green and the provo? i probably just set my self up with that question, but havent fished too many rivers yet in utah.

maybe, the question should be: "What streams and lakes do not have midges"....
In other words: most trout streams will have midge hatches because they are a very common aquatic insect 365 days a year. In looking back over my fishing records over the past few years, I have fished many o' stream with midge patterns and done well. I'll not name names, but I'd wager that you can hit most running water this time of year and find some midges coming off.
Heck, Cheech was fishing midges at Pelican in May for Bluegill and LMB's...
e-mail me if you want some ideas for starters... BTW, the water you e-mailed me about before is one of them that has midges.

Curtis is right on. I bet every trout stream (and lake) in the state has midge hatches year-round, or close to it. Saw some hatching this morning in Farmington Canyon. Depending on the water, they can make up a huge percentage of a trout's Winter diet.

I don't think I've fished any water where midges didn't exist.
If you haven't been, you need to go fish Pelican and witness the monster midges there. Biggest, fattest diptera I've ever seen! And so thick, you'd think you were in a Willard Bay mosquito colony, but without the little pricks (sorry Cheech). No wonder the bluegill get so big there.
Midges (family Chironomidae) are found in all waters. However, this does not mean that they are a major part of fish diet everywhere, year round. Food for thought.
