I have not fished it for a couple of years------ water was extremely low last time Iooked- I did fish the creek below and caught fish. Sure looks like another low water year.

Supposedly the Idaho F&G dumped a bundle of bows in there last weekend----- again supposedly bigger than planters.
Just thought that may give you a liitle more hope than my previous post on it.

I went icefishing there several times this past winter. I caught TONS of small rainbows, from 8 to 12", but nothing larger than that. In past years I've done well float-tubing with basically any color of wooly bugger. It seems like the further toward the north that you fish, the more cutthroats you catch. I'd focus on the east side of the reservoir, towards the north end (if there's any water there this year).

I have fished that a couple times, but not recently. I have always done very well with a copperside (green woolly bugger with some copper flash and black hackle) as well any simple damselfly imitation. Get deep. Good fish in there. Have fun.

In years past we caught some very nice fish (several 17+) in the upper end. A brown leech pattern was the ticket. My fav was pretty simple: Tie in the marabou tail and some gold rib, and then wrap up the rest of the marabou up the body and the rib after. Its a killer on most lakes. Couple times when I was there spinner mayflies were all over the place and the fish were only interested in them (size 16 white) and the water was boiling to the most extreme I've ever seen. I haven't been back for around 3 years, but have fun out there if you do.
