Hook: Standard nymph or scud hook, size 18-24.

This is one of my go to patterns for late fall and throughout the winter. It's one of the simplest flies you can tie and it has caught more fish than any other fly when midges are the main food source for trout. This particular pattern I used black possum dubbing, but any fur dubbing can be used.
